We talk about mobile filmmaking and the making of their new franchise feature horror comedy “Easter Bloody Easter,” a new film by WallyBird Productions, which was not shot with a phone, distributed by Gravitas. We had an inspiring discussion on how mobile filmmakers can create a franchise with a mobile film.

Community and Industry for Smartphone Filmmakers with Susy Botello
Tuesday Feb 20, 2024
Tuesday Feb 20, 2024
Episode 174 was recorded February 19, 2024.
I share some history of pioneers who had been around and are no longer participating in the mobile filmmaking industry and community. I refer to Filmic Pro, Moondog Labs, and have you heard of Smart Phocus?
It’s important for mobile filmmakers to feel supported and embraced. Confidence is important in filmmaking but it’s even more important for someone making movies with smartphones, even today when it has more approval than back when we started out.
Guess what? You have the support. It’s not just me. It’s an opportunity when you come to the International Mobile Film Festival in San Diego.
I also make an announcement about our podcast.
